ABOUT LIBRARY

Just like every educational Institutions the Domohana Pharmacy College has also established a modern library housed in a large hall. From small story books to large reference books , Journals , Encyclopedias , Magazines etc are all available in this library . Library has constructed on third floor of the institute. There are separate sections in available in library such as Administrator and book issue section, reading section, reference section, journal section.
All the books are segregated subject wise and shelved in the properly labelled cupboards. All the books are given accession number. The reference books and books for issue-return are stored separately.The latest volumes and issues of the subscribed journals are displayed in library in journals section. Old volumes and issues of the hard copy of the journals are hard bound every year and labelled and the separate register is maintained for the tracking, issues and return record.
Library is well stocked with books, titles and journals as well as electronic resources.
The library has a very good collection of books; periodicals and journals related to pharmacy and allied sciences. At present there are 10,000 ( Ten thousands) at our library has books which includes valuable titles from the various subjects like Quality assurance, Pharmaceutics and Pharmaco-kinetics, Medicinal chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical chemistry (Inorganic & Organic), Biochemistry, BioTechnology, Microbiology, Molecular biology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pathology, Anatomy &Physiology, Physical Pharmacy. Along with traditional subjects, we have few selected titles on Gene cloning, AIDS & HIV, Chemotherapy, cosmetics etc. from well known Indian as well as foreign publishers. They are all arranged in different sections so that it becomes easy for those who search for a particular book. It helps students refer notes that they are looking for and helps in cultivating a reading habit too .
Our libraries provide the students very healthy environment for learning as well as making notes or completing an assignment. Our library provides a very calm and disciplined atmosphere which helps students to maintain a good concentration on their studies. Our library is a unique and valuable resource. It is a lifeline to the world and all the information in it .
